Financial Advisor Coordinator

Working from our Waverly office, this position virtually supports Financial Advisors to improve their efficiency and productivity. This position will support multiple advisors, as assigned. The incumbent, via a centralized location, provides operational, clerical and administrative support to assigned Financial Services Advisor(s).

Job Responsibilities:

  • (40%) Assist Financial Advisors with various marketing activities, including but not limited to: Organization of seminars, make room arrangements, assemble packets, and confirm seminar attendance. Coordinate mailings of newsletters, cards, surveys, seminars, annual review letters, and appointment information forms. Bring forward new ideas and best practices to market the Financial Advisor and program to prospective clients.
  • (30%) Perform various administrative duties as necessary such as processing mail, typing memos, appointment preparation, ordering supplies, paperwork imaging, managing calendars, client servicing, and expense reporting.
  • (20%) Drive business through proactive phone calls and other methods to existing and potential clients in order to schedule appointments to meet with assigned Financial Advisors. Coordinate staff referral contests and track results
  • (10%) Document activities in client relationship management system and log required compliance related documents as needed for team members in accordance to FINRA and Company policies and procedures

Job Requirements:

  • Associate degree in business or insurance or equivalent trade-off in related professional work experience
  • Three years of work experience in insurance and securities
  • Proficient in creating statistical reports, graphics, and charts utilizing PC word processing, presentation and spreadsheet applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with internal and external customers and regulatory agencies via telephone, in person, and/or written communications.
  • Proven ability to work successfully in a team environment as demonstrated through previous work assignments.
  • Demonstration of the ability through previous work assignments to:
    • Work with limited direction
    • Set priorities for work
    • Meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
